Places to be this Silly Season

We have put together our top picks on where families can get into the festive spirit in the Shire.

Cronulla RSL

There is nothing quite like an Aussie summer by the beach. Cronulla RSL situated next to South Cronulla beach, overlooking Cronulla’s picturesque coastline, is more than just your typical RSL.

They have been working hard on creating a great place for the kids to play and have some awesome events lined up for Christmas.

Every Thursday night from 630pm to 730pm up until Christmas they have a Ham & Seafood Raffle.

You also do not want to miss huge Christmas Toy Raffle drawn on Tuesday 5 December 2017 at 6 pm. Tickets are available for purchase now.

They also are open on Christmas Day for a 3-course lunch at the Water Grill Resturant. But you must pre-book.

The Prince Hotel

We loved that The Prince Hotel was so accommodating in allowing us to have our Spring Picnic at their venue when the weather decided to not be on our side.

They have some awesome things planned for the Christmas and New Year period.

Let them take the stress out of your Christmas function with your choice of their $35, $45 or $55 Christmas packages.

Or you might like to enjoy a delicious Xmas Cavery Trolley with all the trimmings for your function instead. Minimum 15 people.

Bookings & pre-payment are essential. Valid Monday to Friday lunch & dinner, until 22nd Dec.

We also got the inside scoop that they will be running a 12 pigs of Christmas raffles starting Wednesday 13th to December-24th. They are raffling off a whole suckling pig experience every night at 7.30, valued at $650 and serves 12-14 people. Tickets on sale from 6pm @ $5each.

Plus Santa is stopping by on Sunday 10th and 17th of December between 1 pm & 3 pm. So drop by and have your photo taken with the jolly man himself.

If that is not exciting enough the whole family will love the Kids NYE disco 6-9pm. Come and relax while the kids dance the night away with their party host. Stick around for the 9 pm fireworks displayed an all of the large screens.

A Christmas Day Buffet is available in the Terrace Bistro. Bookings are essential.

Grab a Santa Selfie for free every Friday in December. Santa will pay a visit to hear kiddy wish lists and mum and dad can snap away.

Club Central’s Christmas Treats Spectacular is on Monday 18 December with over $5000 worth of ham, pork and seafood vouchers as well as a dance performance from the Menai Dance Centre.

Club Central Menai has partnered with Woolworths Menai and St Vincent De Paul to hold a Christmas Canned Food Drive for local families in need. Much needed donations can be dropped off at the Club or at Woolworths Menai until 15 December.

Cook at Kurnell

We have mentioned before that we think Cook at Kurnell is an awesome place to take kids. They are open every day except Christmas Day this holiday season.

If you have not checked them out yet, they have a vintage airstream food truck serving delicious breakfasts, coffees, hamburgers, nibbles and beverages beachside.

Opening times are dependant on weather.

They will be open on New Year’s Eve making Kurnell a great family orientated spot to check out the Brighton and City fireworks.

Braza Miranda

It’s time to eat, drink and celebrate and what better place to celebrate your Christmas function than at Braza BBQ of the Americas on the rooftop at Westfield Miranda.

Or watch the fireworks from the rooftop on New Years Eve and enjoy an amazing all you can eatBBQ of the Americas for just $70 per person including a glass of sparkling wine and dessert to share.

The Barbecue of the Americas is powered by Braza Churrascaria who is recognised as a pioneer in the art of preparing the authentic Brazilian barbecue and introducing the best of Brazilian cuisine and culture to Australians.
