Vacating Checklist

We supply you with the following  guidelines to  to facilitate a speedy refund of your bond.

  • Keys to the property are returned to our office promptly.  Rent continues to accrue  until such time as ALL the keys are returned. (Refer to the photocopy of keys/controllers and swipe cards given to you at commencement of tenancy)
  • Ensure that rent and any water usage are paid up to vacating date.
  • Ensure all personal items, furniture, any rubbish, etc., are removed from the property and the grounds.
     Please note that if any rubbish is  left on the footpath severe penalties can be imposed by Council.
  • If the property has to be re-inspected due to a failure to meet the requirements of the outgoing inspection – DELAYS WILL BE EXPERIENCED IN THE REFUND OF YOUR BOND AND FURTHER EXPENSES MAY BE INCURRED.

CLEANING

Generally:

  • Clean windows inside and out
  • Steam clean carpets  (we recommend Blanch & Doyle  9520 5311)
  • Wash all hard floors
  • Mowe lawns, trim edges, weed flowerbeds
  • Sweep out garage
  • Clean all light fittings and replace any expired globes
  • Clean skirting boards, sliding door tracks, and windowsills

Kitchen:

  • Wipe down all shelves and drawers
  • Clean oven, oven  racks,  hotplate drip trays and  rings,

Bathroom:

  • Clean shower recess, ensuring there is no mould or soap residue on tiles and screens.
  • Ensure bath, toilet and vanity are clean.


Ensure that you have arranged for your phone, electricity,gas accounts to be closed and your mail to be redirected and that you have supplied our office with your forwarding address and contact phone number for the refund of your bond.
